Gamma Phi Beta Delta Mu

Welcome to Gamma Phi Beta at Rutgers University! By checking out our fabulous new website, you can learn more about our organization, our members, our philanthropy and much, much more!

With so many wonderful organizations thriving at Rutgers University, it's easy to be overwhelmed by all the choices that exist. However, I can honestly say that joining Gamma Phi Beta was the best decision I made in my college career (well, that and coming to Rutgers  ).

During recruitment, I learned about Gamma Phi Beta's creed, "Love, Labor, Learning, and Loyalty". Throughout my experience I realized that Gamma Phi Betas across the nation live by this creed and that is what makes us an organization that stands out above the rest.

 *LOVE*

When I joined Gamma Phi, I was told I'd meet my best friends for life, that I would constantly be meeting new people, have a chance to be a leader both on campus and within my chapter, and of course make countless memories.  I was skeptical at first, it's not easy to meet such a big group of people, but in a short time, I felt welcomed and loved by my new sisters. The support system that Gamma Phi provided me with spanned far beyond friendships. Gamma Phi allowed me to make immeasurable bonds with sisters who would later support me academically and in my leadership positions in the sorority.

At such a big school, like Rutgers, I feel like I have found a family that I can always count on. The days of going to class or eating lunch alone are gone. I always have a sister by my side to keep me company whether it is in the library or just at home on the couch.

*LABOR*

Being apart of Gamma Phi Beta will encourage your involvement with philanthropy on a national and local level. One of our main priorities is to raise money for worthwhile causes, like our philanthropy Camp Fire USA! We also support many local causes such as Robert Wood Johnson's "Adopt-A-Child" program and Rutgers University's Dance Marathon. Most recently, we focused our efforts on creating a campus wide volleyball tournament named The Crescent Classic, which raised over $2,000 for the Cooley's Anemia Foundation. Aside from supporting our own philanthropies, we as Gamma Phi Betas are committed to supporting the philanthropies of other Greek chapters and campus organization by regular attendance to their events and financial donations. We have participated in PIKE Dream Girl, ZTA's Think Pink and Sing for the Cure, Theta Chi's Poker Tournament, and many, many more just in this calendar year. Nothing is more rewarding than our labor and service to our community.

*LEARNING*

Academics are a top priority for us at Gamma Phi Beta. Being highly educated and intellectual young women puts us ahead of the curve.  No matter what your major/minor, there is a sister at Gamma Phi who can guide you through your academic years. We provide many opportunities for academic assistance, such as sisterhood study hours and tutor center services, as well as matching you up with a "Study Buddy" to make sure that even on the longest of days, that you  make it to the library.

Aside from academics, Gamma Phi Beta will teach you more about yourself. You will learn what tasks excite you and what your best leadership qualities are. Once you learn more about yourself, you can begin to excel in a variety of areas in your life.

*LOYALTY*

Being a sister reaches beyond the responsibilities of being a friend. In the good times and the bad, we show each other endless support and love. When a sister is in need, we do our very best to provide her the resources she may need to succeed. Loyalty also means committing ones self to remain honest and uphold the highest ideals and standards of womanhood.

With such a diverse group of sisters that have a variety of majors, interests, and backgrounds, we are Individually Unique and Together Complete.  Our creed "Love, Labor, Learning and Loyalty" guides us in our everyday lives to make us the best of the best!

I hope that by looking around our website, you can find out who we are and what we stand for. Check out our fan page on Facebook, "Gamma Phi Beta Delta Mu Chapter". Hope to see you soon!

Yours Truly,
